Private Functions in Cairns
Everything You Need to Plan Your Visit
At Cruise Club Cairns, planning a visit is straightforward, whether you're dropping in for the night or organising something bigger. We host private functions for bachelor parties, birthdays and other celebrations, giving your group a dedicated space away from the main lounge in Cairns.
If you're just after a regular night out, our cruise lounge next door offers the same discreet, welcoming atmosphere without needing to book ahead. Below, you'll find what's on each week, how to book a private function, and the house rules that keep the space safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Events
Expect live DJs, themed nights and the occasional surprise from Thursday through Sunday. The calendar shifts week to week — some nights lean social and easy, others fill the floor until late.
Check back each week to see what's on, or follow along online, and call the club if you want to know what's running before you make the trip in.
Private Functions
Book the space for bachelor parties, birthdays and other celebrations, with a dedicated area set aside for the group. Tell us your date, rough numbers and the kind of night you're after, and we'll set the room up to match.
Get in touch ahead of time to lock in the night — weekends fill first.
House Rules
Cruise Club Cairns is 18+ only, and valid photo ID is required at the door — no exceptions. Every visit runs on a simple set of house rules built around consent, respect and safety for everyone.
- Ask before you touch, and take no for a complete answer.
- No photography or filming anywhere inside.
- Look after your own state — anyone too intoxicated to consent will be asked to leave.
- Treat staff and guests the same way you'd want to be treated, and respect the privacy of everyone you see here.
Read the full list before a first-time visit, and ask our team at the door if anything needs clarifying.
Good to know
- What's the difference between a regular night out and a private function?
- A regular night out means joining the usual mixed crowd on any open night, with no bookings required. A private function sets aside a dedicated space for a specific group, which usually needs to be arranged in advance.
- What should be organised in advance for a private function?
- It helps to confirm the date, expected group size and the occasion, so the venue can be set up accordingly. Booking ahead also makes it easier to lock in the preferred night, particularly on busier evenings.
- What ID is required to enter a venue like this?
- Valid, government-issued photo ID showing proof of age is the standard requirement at the door of any 18+ venue. It's worth bringing this along even for repeat visits, as it may be checked again.
